Assay Principle
This kit uses a quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay. Standards and samples are added to wells pre-coated with an antibody specific for HMG-CoA. After incubation, HRP-conjugated detection reagent is added, forming a sandwich complex. Unbound conjugate is washed away, and chromogen solutions are added. The enzymatic color reaction is stopped, and absorbance is measured at 450 nm. The intensity of color is proportional to the concentration of HMG-CoA in the sample.
